This site is run by Zafar Alam, based in the UK. It collects very little. Here is what, why, and what happens to it.
The launch list
If you give your email address, it is stored so that one email can be sent when the book launches. We also record which form you used and your browser type. Nothing else is sent, and the list is not shared or sold. To be removed, email [email protected].
The PRISM tool
When you run a decision through PRISM and ask for the closing note, the decision and your five answers are sent to our server, which passes them to a language model to write one short note. This site does not save them: they are not stored in our database and nothing links them to your email address. If you close the page, they are gone.
Do not type anything you would not want processed by a language model, such as names of other people or confidential details.
Questions you send us
If you ask the book assistant a question and leave your email address and message for the author, those are stored so the author can reply.
Review applications
What you enter on the review form is stored privately and read by the author. Your name, role, photo or review appear on this site only if you agree on the form, and you can withdraw that at any time by email.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with the reply, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not track individual visitors. A YouTube thumbnail and links to Instagram, X and LinkedIn load from those services when you view or follow them.
